Fairytrail Fresco arrives in late spring, offering you early-season hydrangea color. It has a unique horizontal growing habit where flowers develop in abundance along elegant, cascading stems. Its mophead blooms are clustered together, creating a cloud-like effect that is utterly captivating. Growing to 3.5-4′ tall and 4.5′ wide, it is an impressive sight when planted in a container or at the front or middle of a border.
Fairytrail Fresco cascade hydrangea is hardy to USDA zones 5 – 9. It performs best in part sun, especially when planted in an area that receives morning shade. Moist, well-draining soil is preferred; try to avoid any periods of extended sogginess. Flowers will be sky-blue in acidic soils that contain aluminum, and soft pink under any other conditions. Since it is an old wood hydrangea, we do not recommend pruning, as any cuts will impact flowering potential.
