Plant of the Week: GLOW GIRL® Spirea

The recent weather in North America brought some areas massive snow storms and others mid-summer temperatures. Here in West Michigan, we got ice. Personally, I’d much rather have a flurry of white flowers than ice and snow.

The crisp, pure white spring-blooming flowers of Glow Girl® spirea are the perfect snow-white blooms to say goodbye to the winter blues and hello to spring. And for those in cool climates, this shrub is hardy to USDA Zone 3!

You Glow Girl!

Glow Girl® spirea is a very durable plant that is both attractive and easy to grow, and you don’t need a lot of space or to prune it to produce an attractive and uniform plant; a light shearing after flowering is all it needs.

It has attractive lemon-lime foliage all summer long and will maintain its bright color without burning. In fall, the foliage transforms into a rich burgundy color.

Glow Girl® spirea grows 3-4’ tall and wide and will grow in either full sun or partial shade.
