A Pop of Color for Cool Climate Gardens
Add the perfect pop of color to your outdoor space with Happy Face® Pink Paradise potentilla (Dasiphora fruticosa)! Part of the Happy Face® series, this vibrant variety delivers the same tough landscape performance potentilla is known for while enhancing its natural beauty with bright, vivid blooms that will leave your garden looking “pretty in pink” all season long.

From late spring through fall, Happy Face® Pink Paradise potentilla produces semi-doubled pink flowers that boldly contrast its green foliage. While this variety does hold its color longer than most, the blooms can fade in intense heat. For this reason, it is a better fit for cooler climates, where its vibrant hue can truly shine.
Reliable and Low-Maintenance
Happy Face® Pink Paradise potentilla is a North American native shrub best suited to USDA Zones 2–7. Its durability makes it a great choice for those tough-to-grow spots where other plants struggle, helping you make the most of every part of your landscape.
Reaching a height and width of 2-3′, it performs best in full sun; however, it can tolerate partial sun with a slight drop off in blooming. It is very adaptable to most soil types and even grows in polluted and salt-heavy areas. Once established, it displays good drought tolerance and is resistant to deer and rabbits.
It doesn’t need much pruning to look its best. With its tidy, round habit, a light overall trim in late winter/early spring works nicely to maintain a uniform appearance. And a rejuvenation prune every three to five years helps support robust flowering.
