So Long Summer
How are you spending your last day of summer? I suggest you get outside and enjoy the flowers of those summer-blooming plants that are still holding on even as we get into the fall season. One shrub that is surely still going strong is Let’s Dance® Rhythmic Blue® Reblooming Hydrangea.

Whether you’re a fan of pink hydrangeas or you’re more drawn to blue, Let’s Dance® Rhythmic Blue® Reblooming Hydrangea may just be the perfect hydrangea for your space, as the full, rounded mopheads can be easily shifted from pink to blue. Flower color is dependent on soil pH. Blooms will be blue in acidic soil with aluminum present, and they will be pink in basic soils. If you’re curious to know more about hydrangea color, check out the blog Kristina wrote about how hydrangeas change color.
This gorgeous shrub is a strong rebloomer, blooming from early summer through fall. Not only does this mean you get to enjoy beautiful flower shows for longer, but it also means that if the first bloom happens to be compromised by a harsh winter or a pruning mistake, it has another chance to flower.
Let’s Dance® Rhythmic Blue® Reblooming Hydrangea is hardy in USDA Zones 5-9. It will grow 3-4’ tall and wide and will thrive in full sun or part sun.
Hydrangea Alternatives
Hydrangeas are a favorite of many gardeners, but maybe you need an alternative. Perhaps you can’t grow hydrangeas where you are, or you have deer that like to nibble on your hydrangea blooms. Whatever the case, check out Kristina’s blog, where she gives you some hydrangea look-alikes to add to your garden.
Have a great weekend!
