Bring on the heat
It’s been kind of warm here in the Great Lakes. How warm? Warm enough that the water temperature of Lake Michigan is swimmable.
Beachgoers like that warm weather, and so does Buddleia. These guys have just been waiting for the warm, sunny days of summer. Lo & Behold® ‘Blue Chip Jr.’ is a special selection of butterfly bush because it’s sterile and reblooms without needing deadheading.
If you’re in a region where Buddleia can be invasive, this is a great choice for you.

‘Miss Molly‘ is another great non-invasive Buddleia, but little Lo & Behold® ‘Blue Chip Jr.’ will fit into tighter spaces at under half its height and width – just 1.5-2.5′ tall and wide. It’s a good option for container gardens and can even be enjoyed like an annual in colder areas – it’s hardy in USDA 5-9. Don’t overwinter in a container unless you’re in a very mild climate, though.
