An Easy-Care Shrub for Dad
Father’s Day is right around the corner, and let me tell you about a shrub that is perfect for the father figure in your life. Allow me to introduce you to Mucho Gusto™ Abelia.
Why is this shrub perfect for dads? It provides stunning color from spring to fall, it’s a tough, low-maintenance plant, and it has a handsome compact habit. Whether it’s used as a border plant, a low hedge, or as a specimen, this plant is sure to make all the other dads in the neighborhood jealous.

Nice to Meet You
You will be pleased to make the acquaintance of this new Abelia x grandiflora.
Mucho Gusto™ abelia’s crisp green and white variegated foliage and fresh white summer blooms aren’t just pretty; the variegation of that semi-evergreen foliage is quite stable, and the flowers have a delightful fragrance that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
This is a great choice for gardens in USDA 6-9. Like other abelias, Mucho Gusto™ is an adaptable plant with good deer resistance and heat tolerance.

It grows 2-3.5′ tall and 3-5′ wide. Plant it in full sun or use it to brighten up a part shade spot in your garden. It is a great choice for a cool-palette perennial garden!
Mucho Gusto™ abelia is a tidy, easy-care shrub that doesn’t need much. Little to no pruning is required for this plant due to its neat, round habit, but if you wish, you can prune it to shape in late/winter or early spring.

Whether you’re celebrating with family or spending time at home, I hope your weekend is fabulous!
