Bigger Bolder Beauty

Everything great about the original Pinky Winky® hydrangea, but bigger and better! Pinky Winky Prime® panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata) stuns from summer through fall in the garden with bigger panicles and bolder color.

Large white, lacey flowers cover this shrub in summer, stretching to a foot or more long. As the flowers mature, they begin to blush from the bottom up, creating an eye-catching two-toned effect. Finally, the flowers turn to a dark pink, a much richer color than the original. These stunning flowers also look fabulous in cut flower arrangements, fresh or dried!

Pinky Winky Prime® is cold hardy to USDA Zone 3 and heat tolerant to USDA Zone 8. In cooler climates, this hydrangea loves full sun exposure. In warmer climates, it will benefit from afternoon shade. At 6-9’ tall and wide, this beauty is a perfect choice for a hedge or screen or as a specimen plant.

It is recommended that Pinky Winky Prime® be pruned in early spring. Cut the plant back by about one-third of its total height and width, just above a set of buds. Any dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time.
