Plant of the Week: RISE UP AMBERNESS™ Rose

Rise Up!

I know it’s hard. We’re in the darkest, shortest days of the year. It’s tempting to sleep in, telling yourself that in a few months, you’ll be crazy busy in the garden.

Bright colors can help get us through these gloomy days. I’d love one of these beautiful roses to look at each morning! Rise Up Amberness™ is an enticing yellow-orange rose with a classic floral form. Plus, it smells amazing!

Climb out of bed

The rose will, in a good way. This is a climbing rose, so provide it with a trellis or other support, and it will rise above other plants. It can grow up to 3-5′ tall and 2-3′ wide.

Rise Up Amberness™ is hardy in USDA 5-8 and will want full sun.

Roses are very popular, and they generate a lot of questions. Here’s Kristina in a handy video showing how to prune them. Feel free to share it while you’re waiting through winter for spring to come!
