A Showy Spring Shrub
Add a leading star to your landscape with Show Off Starlet® forsythia (Forsythia x)! This dwarf variety enters spring with the same full-blown flower show as the original Show Off® forsythia, but does so in a smaller, more versatile package.
Show Off Starlet forsythia is an electric way to wake up the landscape. Its bright yellow flowers are showy and loud, blooming from the base to the tip of the upright branches. Reaching a height and width of 2-3′, it has a manageable habit that works nicely for mixed borders and foundation plantings. The bloom-packed branches also make a fabulous addition to a floral arrangement, bringing a cheerful touch to your indoor space!
Show Off Starlet forsythia is fit for USDA zones 5 – 8. It enjoys full to part sun and performs well in any soil. It is a dependable shrub, displaying excellent drought tolerance and resistance to deer. Consistent pruning is not needed, but if you would like to do a bit of shaping, do so just after it finishes flowering in the spring.
