A lovely landscape plant, Splendid!® Blue blueberry charms with its dusty blue-green foliage and pale reddish stems. In spring, it produces white bell-shaped blooms, which turn into sweetly flavored berries by summer. While it does set some fruit on its own, you will get more berries by planting it near another highbush blueberry variety.

Reaching a height and width of 3-4’, it works great as a border plant, for edging, or in a container. As for the berries, they taste delicious no matter how you choose to eat them—tossed in a summer salad, blended into a smoothie, baked into a sweet treat, or enjoyed on their own as a fresh snack!

Splendid!® Blue blueberry is suited to USDA zones 5b-9. It thrives in full sun, achieving its loveliest coloring and fruit with six or more hours of direct sunlight. For best results, grow it in acidic, well-drained soil. Once established, a yearly rejuvenation prune will keep it healthy and productive.
