Sunshine Blue® II bluebeard arrives in the landscape as a bright, round ball of yellow-green foliage. Its vivid coloring becomes even more eye-catching with the addition of vibrant blue flowers that emerge in late summer. Not only are they a charming floral display, but they also attract a variety of pollinators, including hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees!

Sunshine Blue® II bluebeard is suited to USDA zones 5-9. When grown in its preferred environment of full sun and well-drained soil, it grows quickly, reaching its mature size of 3’ tall and wide. To maintain its dense and compact appearance, prune it back to a few inches above the ground each spring. This goes for both warm and cold climates; however, if you are in a cooler area, make sure to wait until you see signs of growth on the stem before pruning.
