This small frame works great for pots and containers, and thanks to its improved hardiness, Wee Bit Giddy bigleaf hydrangea looks and performs just as lovely in the garden. Wee Bit Giddy bigleaf hydrangea is best suited to USDA zones 5-9. It can grow in areas ranging from full sun to part sun; however, if you are in a warmer zone, consider planting it in a space that receives some afternoon shade. When it comes to the flowers, Wee Bit Giddy produces its red-pink blooms exceptionally well. But, do keep in mind that the soil pH will impact color, so if planted in acidic soil (at least 6.5 or lower), you can expect a deep, moody purple/blue.
Wee Bit Giddy bigleaf hydrangea does not need to be pruned at any point during the year; in fact, pruning is not even recommended! If there is any dead or damaged wood, you can remove it by cutting about 1/4 of an inch above a set of leaves.
