A fluffy cloud for your garden!
This versatile plant looks fabulous no matter where you put it in the garden or landscape, and its bushy habit means it will feel at home no matter the garden style. The plant I’m talking about is Yuki Kabuki® deutzia (Deutzia).

In spring, Yuki Kabuki® is covered in an abundance of little bell-shaped pink and white flowers. The sheer number of flowers and the bushy, mounded habit of this elegant little shrub give Yuki Kabuki® a soft, fluffy appearance in the garden. In fall, the foliage takes on yellow, red, and purple tones, giving the shrub a lasting display.
Yuki Kabuki® deutzia is cold hardy to USDA zone 5 and heat tolerant to USDA zone 8. It thrives in full sun exposure, but it can handle some shade, especially in warmer climates. At 2.5-4’ tall and wide, it’s perfect for so many garden and landscape uses, especially mass plantings. This beauty is pollinator-friendly, drought-tolerant once established, and deer and rabbit resistant.
This is an easygoing plant that doesn’t require pruning as it maintains its mounded habit naturally. If any shaping is desired, do so in the spring after it’s finished flowering.
