Elegant and Easy to Care For!

Are you in search of a tough but beautiful plant for your landscape? Maybe you have difficult soil, intense heat, or a deer issue. Well, Pink Chiffon® rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) is ready to take on all these tough landscape conditions and looks great doing it.

In summer, this lovely shrub is covered in pale pink anemone-like double blooms and dark pink buds. Each bloom sports deep magenta veins trailing from the ruffled centers. Its upright habit makes Pink Chiffon® a great shrub for hedging or as a specimen.

Pink Chiffon® is suited for USDA zones 5-9 and grows to 8-12’ tall and 6-10’ wide. This beauty thrives in full sun, anything less than six hours of direct sun each day, and it won’t flower as prolifically, and long stems may bend more. It’s not too picky with soil as long as it’s well-draining. It benefits from an application of fertilizer each spring after the soil has thawed.

Regular pruning isn’t necessary for Pink Chiffon® as it maintains a graceful upright habit naturally. If any shaping is desired, you can do so in early spring.
